Why yoga?

Although I teach weekly classes throughout the year I also hold adhoc classes in local parks and open spaces in the summertime.  I run workshops online called 'True Relax' where I blend Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra to optimize deep, nourishing rest.  In summer I run these at local venues like cosy village halls and in winter they are wonderful online as you can simply switch me off and snuggle down as the session closes.

Classes can be for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes.  The classes at Platinum Studio are based in the lunch break to appeal to people working who may need a little revitalizing for their afternoon. Shorter classes may also appeal to you if you have chronic fatigue.

I teach one to one classes either online or in person.  These can be extended to small groups of up to 6 people.  This is ideal if there is a group of people with a similar interest, e.g. chronic fatigue, diabetes, arthritis or perhaps women cyclists wanting to keep supple over winter months.  You can get together with friends and have a specific class tailored just for you.

Before Covid some of my successes included a small class of 45 minutes of chair yoga for people with osteopenia or osteoporosis or another long term condition such as arthritis.  After the class we spent 15 minutes chatting on a particular topic such as nutrition, sleep, or relaxation techniques, sharing insights and recent research findings curated from podcasts and reading books.  Another example was a group of women cyclists who wanted a sequence of warming down movements to reduce injury after long bike rides during winter months.  This particular class also included some restorative poses the ladies could turn to when they had a moment to relax.
